Just an update on everything! We're so sorry the podcast is late, I (Jessica) am the one who edits them, and this entire weekend I was busy moving out! All my stuff is sitting in my room now waiting to be unpacked though, and I only have about ten minutes left to edit(which believe it or not is about 30-45 minutes of work!) So it will be up today or tomorrow, I PROMISE! Episode 11 will be coming your way soon and we will be back on a weekly basis.

Hunted - P.C. & Kristen Cast
Hunted: P.C. & Kristen Cast
Published: March 3rd, 2009 by St. Martin's Griffin
Page Amount: 323 Pages
Availability: Hardcover or Paperback
Series: House of Night
Prior Books(in order): Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed.
This is the fifth book of the House of Night series. Do not read the following synopsis unless you have read the four previous books!
The good news: Zoey’s friends have her back again and Stevie Rae and the red fledglings aren’t Neferet’s secrets any longer. The bad news: Ancient evil with the face of an angel has been let loose – that and various other nasties (whose faces aren’t so angelic). Grandma Redbird is in trouble. Heath is in trouble. The House of Night is in trouble. Okay, let’s face it – Zoey’s whole world is in trouble! But when the trouble comes from a being who appears to be beauty personified, will the world believe it? Especially when only a teenager and a group of misfits are the only ones who really understand the danger he brings. Will Zoey have the strength and wisdom to reveal the truth? Especially when, in the House of Night, the truth is often hard to come by…
Information from Goodreads.com
Hunted, by P.C. and Kristen Cast was a great book for the House of Night series. It was my favorite out of the five that I have read so far, closely followed by Marked. It is from Zoey Redbird's point of view, a vampire fledgling that is super-blessed by the Vampire Goddess Nyx.
The plot in Hunted was incredible(compared to Cast's other novels I have read). Where the other books were simply 200 pages of recapping what has already happened, and then finishing the book off with something new, Hunted took off right where Untamed (House of Night book #4) left off and continued from there. It didn't dwell on the past any more than a normal book does to remind you what was going on.
The characters in Hunted developed significantly in Hunted. There wasn't as much development as I would have liked to see with certain characters, and Cast definitely could have focused on this more.
The setting is described in a way that you can understand it, and picture in your head. It takes place at the House of Night, the tunnels under the depot, and a few new places.
Plot: 4/5
Characters: 3/5
Setting: 3/5

Taken Directly from P.C. Cast's website was the following!
"Here are the US and Canadian and Cayman dates for the BURNED tour! Remember, we don't choose our tour places - so we can't change or add. It's a short one this time because I have to focus on writing AWAKENED. Yes, we will be in the UK, but not until later this summer.
Hope to see you there!

Whoo-hoo! I personally have read the first four House of Night novels and I am working on the fifth. Sadly, they aren't coming anywhere NEAR ME! Will anybody be attending any of these?

The Next Book in our Chapter by Chapter Is:
Hush Hush, by Becca Fitzpatrick.
Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those who have fallen -- and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.
Hush Hush won at 38% of the votes.
Evernight was a close second at 24%.
Graceling and Intertwined were almost a tie for third with Graceling at 14% and Intertwined at 12%.
Tithe made it through at 5% and Wondrous Strange, sadly, only got 1%.
Thanks so much for voting everyone! Happy Reading!

Frostbite by Richelle Mead
Frostbite: Richelle Mead
Rose Hathaway's got serious guy trouble. Her gorgeous tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason has a huge crush on her, and she keeps getting stuck in her best friend Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian. (So not cool).
Then a massive Strigoi attack puts St. Vladimir's on high alert, and the Academy crawls with Guardians--including the legendary Janine Hathaway...Rose's formidable, long-absent mother. The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks. This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.
But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only provide the illusion of safety. When three students run away to strike back against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. Only this time, Rose--and her heart--are in more danger than she ever could have imagined...
Okay, so this book was like night and dark when compared to the first one. I liked the first one and all (and by the first one I am of course referring to The Vampire Academy) but this book upstaged it in so many ways, and made me understand the first one better. There was finally some unique plot, character build up, excitement, and a little more romance. Phew! Although, there were points where I found myself a little bored, and that is why it didn't receive a 5/5. It ended perfectly, and it complimented the first story very well. Definitely pick this series up.
You may be thinking, ughhhhh not another vampire novel. But trust me, these vampires are like no other vampires I've ever read about.
Happy Reading, ♥ Jessica

Check out the first Chapter of Burned
P.C. & Kristen Cast released the first chapter to her upcoming installment in the House of Night novels, Burned! You can check it out here! I personally have read the first four of the House of Night novels, and you can check out my review of Untamed on our youtube channel. I absolutely LOVE this cover, although, I don't know who that blond chick is. What do you guys think of the novels, and are you guys excited for Burned? It goes on sale April 27th, 2010.
Freakcast Oopsie.
Okay guys. We have an announcement concerning Freakcast. You all picked The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan as our next chapter by chapter. HOWEVER after reading both Hunger Games and Catching Fire (books we have all already read) we REALLY want to do something we haven't read, so we don't give away any spoilers. Because when we've all read it, it is hard not to discuss the stuff that happens later and how it relates to what was happening now. And since we're spoiler nazi's and really prefer not to give any away, we figured we had better take a break with the books we have read. So, we promise, we WILL do one on Forest of Hands and Teeth, but for the next one we're going to do stuff we haven't read. BUT you get to choose again, just this time we're only going to give books that we haven't read as options. So look for a new poll around Monday, maybe sooner.
We're really sorry if this truly effects anyone, but we're doing it not only for us, but for you guys too!
On a brighter note, we're inching closer and closer to 250 subscribers on YouTube, and as you may not know, we're giving away a t-shirt when we reach it! So recommend us to your reader-freaky-friends! :)
Happy Reading! ♥ Jessica
