Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2)Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am actually listening to the audio. Read the book quite a while ago. Love the HP books. My goal is to listen to all the audios before Book 7 movie comes out in November. This book was even better the second time around! They are just filled with adventure, humor, love, joy, friendship. The world is so magical and I want to just dive into it and never come out! LOL HP Rocks!

Darkest Mercy is the 5th and final book of the Wicked Lovely Series by Melissa Marr.

Marr’s words: “This is . . . well, almost the final cover. The vines are still wrong, but the effects are in place now. I love it. Please, meet Donia (portrayed by Linda) on the cover of the final WICKED LOVELY book . . . LOVE the steam & sunlight.”

EXCITING NEWS : Carrie Ryan's next book!

March 2011

There are many things that Annah would like to forget: the look on her sister's face when she and Elias left her behind in the Forest of Hands and Teeth, her first glimpse of the horde as they found their way to the Dark City, the sear of the barbed wire that would scar her for life. But most of all, Annah would like to forget the morning Elias left her for the Recruiters.

Annah's world stopped that day and she's been waiting for him to come home ever since. Without him, her life doesn't feel much different from that of the dead that roam the wasted city around her. Then she meets Catcher and everything feels alive again.

Except, Catcher has his own secrets—dark, terrifying truths that link him to a past Annah's longed to forget, and to a future too deadly to consider. And now it's up to Annah—can she continue to live in a world drenched in the blood of the living? Or is death the only escape from the Return's destruction?

Kiss Me Deadly contains a short story written by : Carrie Ryan

Available July 2010

My story is about Sister Tabitha from The Forest of Hands and Teeth when she was Mary's age. It answers a few more questions about the village, the Sisterhood and Tabitha's motivation. As it turns out, she was quite the passionate teen :)

Catching Fire By: Suzanne Collins

Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2)Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A must read! An awesome follow-up to Hunger Games. This book leaves you hanging on pins and needles for book three! it is more intense that the first book. I would never have guessed that I wouldve been as surprised as I ended up being at who goes into the games this time! I had several guesses but was wrong. I was pleasantly surprised! :)

This is def. a book for males and females from young adult age to age 102! Once again, Suzanne has brought to life a very believable storyline. I find myself thinking about the story and the characters weeks after reading the book! We meet several new characters that you will come to care about in this book also!

Book Three, release date: August 24, 2010 (Don't miss it!)

Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely Series ROCKS!

Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1)Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you have EVER thought to yourself, "I dont like faery books" THAN this is THE book for YOU! I thought faery books were about little tinker bells floating around making the world bright and cheery. But guess what, I was WRONG! LOL The fey world that Melissa Marr has created is so complex and "Wicked Lovely" (very well titled, btw) that I just became obsessed! The characters are so deep and you cant help but just want to know them better.

The one thing I can say negative if any, you feel a little confused in the beginning until u really keep reading and start understanding the world and why the faerys must do what they do. You just have to keep reading , the author answers questions more and more as you go along. But at first, I found myself looking back, thinking "did i miss something" when in fact, I hadnt. So this is a MUST read and will be a film! Dont miss it! TEAM DARK COURT (Niall) :D

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, #1)The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Awesome story! Keeps you turning page after page very quickly. It has action, romance, peril. The characters are great! A must read for any YA fiction lover.

Suzanne Collins took a very believable concept and made it come to life in a heart pounding, thrilling way. She also entwined a beautiful love story. TEAM PEETA! Bring on the movie! :D

Midnight Release of Eclipse

Yes, YA FF went to the midnight release of the Twilight Saga film Eclipse! We had a lot of fun. The whole gang plus more were there. There were 13 of us and the chapter chicks also were there.
I have to tell this funny story. Jessy and Stacy were getting there at THE LAST MINUTE because they had to wait on a friend to get off work. So at about 11:45, I texted Jessy and said sorry, but everyone is settled into their seats and they just started the movie! She texted back and said, u mean the previews or the actual movie. I told her yes, the actual movie! She was so bummed and I didnt think she would believe me, so then i felt REALLY bad. So I told her I was totally joking! She said her heart broke right into! I then felt REALLY, REALLY bad. BUT , i have to admit it was still funny! LOL Jessy is soooo easy to tease, she falls for it EVERY time! hee hee

But, after that little story, now for my opinion of the movie. I think each film has been a step up from the last one. But there is still a "lower budget" feel to these movies? WHY? The only thing that I can figure is that Summit knows they can keep MOST of the profits becuz the Twilight movie was made on a "shoe string budget" compared to other films and fans went crazy over it anyway. So I dont think they put as much into it as they could? (The motorcylce scene in "New Moon" hahaha, U could totally tell that it wasnt Bella moving but the scenery was sliding by the motorcycle in the background! ) LOL

But even though there is that "low budget" feel, I still love to see the book come alive. Just wonder if the movie wouldve been better with Warner Bros? (HP films , Dark Knight) or New Line? (Lord of the Rings)......Guess one will NEVER know....:(

Also, I know I will probably be slammed for saying this, but Kristen Stewart was THE WRONG CHOICE for Bella. (My pic wouldve been the girl who plays in the Vampire Diary Series) Even my husband says shes ugly! She is def. not a great actor. I just had a friend watch Twilight, New Moon in one night and then went and seen Eclipse and one of the first things she said to me was I didnt really care for the girl who plays Bella! This friend has never heard me say anything about my opinion AND she hasnt read the books! So thats, that....

Favorite Part of Eclipse: Scenes with Jasper and his story! He's a great actor. AND the tent scene (cuz Kristen is "asleep") LOL
