Goliath (Leviathan, #3)Goliath by Scott Westerfeld

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Excellent! Don't let this series pass you by. It does not get the attention it deserves. Scott Westerfeld does a brilliant job telling this story. I listened to the audio and it is one of the best audios out there. The voices and accents are amazing! It is as good as Harry Potter audios by Jim Dale.

A MUST READ! :)

I also own the books because there are brilliant drawings throughout the story and the books look very smart sitting on my book shelf!

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I gave this book a 3, but I need to think about it a little while before writting an actual review. I didn't love this book like many others seem to. I never really felt connected to the characters and I felt like the last half of the book was drug out a little too much. I also didn't really like that there was never any explanation as to why Noah and Mara could do what they could do? I realize answers might come on book two. But, this seems like the kind of book where they will learn to control their powers but it is going to be pushed off to being "gifted" with special powers for the better of the universe and I really don't like this sort of thing. I prefer real reasons....but thats just me. Also, I didn't really buy into the GREAT love between them, it just didn't seem real esp. not in a Edward / Bella kinda way that I love. The author never really explained about Noahs past loves??? and reputation?? Was it real or just rumors?

Another question: Did Mara cause the lady at the end to shoot the guy or was she about to but the woman stepped up and did it first???

Okay, so I said I wasn't going to review it but there it is. I didn't hate or dislike this book and I will probably some day read book two when it comes out, but I won't be in line at midnight or in any hurry to rush and read it. It was okay. The story could've been better for me. I think this book got a lot of attention and I expected too much maybe?

Just my opinion....glad others are loving it.

Black Bird, Vol. 1 (Black Bird, #1)Black Bird, Vol. 1 by Kanoko Sakurakouji

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've had this book for a while and hadn't got to it. I am so glad I did. It is a bit racey but I love the story. It is about demons and is a love story.

A must read if you like the graphic novels. It is one that you read backwards to, which is kind of cool when you get used to it.

Kyo........aaahhhhh :)

Jessica Rules the Dark Side (Jessica, #2)Jessica Rules the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this sequel! The story was interesting and getting to know a few new characters was great. I love "Ronnie"! His story was awesome.

This is a series I recommend. The main character Jessica can get a little annoying as far as the author focuses a little too much on her thinking the same thoughts ALOT... She thinks the same thoughts over and over. It is understandable with what she is going through, I just don't think I needed to read it so much.

But over all I loved the story and Lucius is right up there with Edward (not quite, LOL - but close!) I would put them in the same category. :)

Behemoth (Leviathan, #2)Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series does not get enough attention! I am so glad that I saw a youtube review of the series and decided to listen to the audio as recommended. The audio voice does the accents and makes the story come alive. This has been one of my favorite audios!

This story is amazing and classic. I so hope they do movies of these books! The characters are very lovable and the world is exciting!

So BARKING SPIDERS! Go get this series and read it if you havent, you wont regret it!

The Iron Daughter (Iron Fey, #2)The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It starts out with Meghan being a prisoner of the Winter Faery Queen and deserted by the Winter Prince, Ash, who she thought loved her. Meghan thought the Iron Fey were defeated but when they steal the scepter from the Winter Court she realizes that the battle isn't finished. With Ashes help they both escape. Their journey to find the scepter takes them through the faery and human world. Once on their journey the action intensifies and Meghan gets help from some surprising characters. The romance between Ash and Meghan develops more in this book and leads to a cliff-hanger ending that left me wanting to read the next book.

Wolfsbane (Nightshade, #2)Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was awesome! It is the sequel to Nightshade so if you haven't read Nightshade, you might not want to read the rest of this. lol
Calla wakes up in the Searchers lair. The searchers want to form an alliance with the Guardians, but Calla isn't sure she can trust them. But what they are offering would give her a chance to destroy her former masters and save her pack and maybe Ren. Saving Shay is what got her to the Searchers. What would her life be like if she could make her own choices? Not have to take orders from the Keepers any longer? This book has lots of action and surprises. It is a page-turner. I can't wait for Bloodrose. I need it like yesterday! lol
